Thousands of kilometers far away from borders of Iran, along with the eastern coast of Africa, there are people who despite their black skins, claim that they descend from the Shiraz generation immigrating to this region. They are coming from Shiraz with the leadership of a person named “Ali-Ebn Hosein” almost 1000 years ago in the time of “Ale-Booye” dynasty, and then they have established a huge urban community of Shirazi people on these coasts.
This urban community which had been very influential on every aspect of people almost 500 years ago resides along the coasts of Somali and Brava to Mozambican, Madagascar and the Kumara Islands. Distribution of Islam and specifically Shi-e sect, Persian language, Persian rituals such as New Year ceremony (Norouz), Iranian architecture, legislation, social communication and so many other signs whose effects are still easily seen, show that once there had been a great civilization around here which is indeed brought here by immigrants from Shiraz.
