The Iraqi Regime begins to attack Iran in a very great scale pursuing the purpose of occupying Iran and taking it under its control. Saddam announces that he will have an interview in Tehran in 3 days, meaning that he will occupy Iran in 3 days. His first goal was to take hold of Khoramshahr. The city prepares for the fight and only after 45 days of resistance and brave struggle of young and old people all together, Iraq is able to occupy the city.
Eventually, one and half year later after this event, Iranian fighters set the city free in a great operation called “Beit-al-moghadas”. The documentary, “Shooting under Fire” relates the time from the occupation of this great city to its freedom. In addition, this documentary movie depicts the confrontation of civilians and their weaponless fight in front of an entirely-armed military and it does so by using the language and photos of the war photographers.
