Somali, the Horn of Africa, is a country which has been involved in a civil war for more than two decades. Political turbulences and land drought in this country in recent years have prevented people from leading a secure life and thus have caused a destructive famine there.
In summer 2011, a new wave of famine and afterwards a vast humanitarian disaster in Somali, caught the attention of international organizations and NGOs from all over the world to the current circumstances in this country. “A Journey to Mogadishu” is the account of a photographer’s journey to this land in order to behold the disastrous outcome of the events and reveal the pain and suffering that these miserable people have gone through.
